About Me

Hi there! I’m lots of things, but for here and now this is what I’d like to say…

I’m a small-town girl (I grew up in Seremban, Malaysia.) turned “big-city dweller” (in Singapore from 1986). And for a decade, I was a broadcast journalist for Singapore’s national media company, with an interest in current affairs. Right now I’m in my most challenging incarnation as a(n older) mom who stays at home with her 8-year-old son and 2-year-old-daughter. My husband is a landscape architect who works a long week.

Except for the next year‚Ķbecause home will be all over the place as my family takes a one-year break from work and school! No more bleary-eyed stumblings while it’s still dark out, or tired drives to and from school, nagging about bedtimes, homework and uke practice…at least for a little while!

This blog will be a recording of my family’s ramblings this year. Hope you enjoy the ride!

Freedom!
Freedom!

  1. It was such a joy to see you again Meera, after how many years? To cross paths once again in Berlin during your family’s one-year hiatus! What a pleasure. Meeting you again was truly the cherry on top of a delicious getaway! Can’t wait to spend more time catching up and making more memories in Florida! Yay!!

Ps – Friend me on FB please. I searched your name but no luck…
